Divine Intervention

Tuesday, March 7th, 2017

Do you pray? Do you believe in God, The Divine, Spirit, Universe…whatever name or word you use to refer to that which I consider the Supreme Being. Me too. Do you also believe that this Creator also has beings called angels who are sent to help us? Yep, I’m with you there too.

Depending on what statistics you are looking at, between 50 – 75% of folks in the United States believe in angels and their loving assistance. How about you?

I’m fascinated by the subject of Divine assistance and the way it is received among different groups. When I work with clients, it’s pretty normal for clients to share about their spiritual beliefs. I feel honored that they do so.

So it makes me wonder, what are your thoughts and beliefs? Do you find that your life experiences are shaped by your beliefs or is it perhaps the reverse? No right or wrong here, just your own experience. It’s all valid.

This is always a fascinating subject for me. If we believe that we are not alone, that we have Divine guidance and assistance all along the way, are we reaching out for assistance? If not, why not? What would happen if we did? Ohhhh, that’s the real question, isn’t it?

What if I reach out for guidance, assistance, love and support – and it doesn’t arrive? What if I don’t hear or understand or what if I just don’t listen? Then again, what if I do?

Why not give it a whirl? Go ahead and ask you angels and guides for their assistance. Then allow yourself to be open to receiving. This is when the most wondrous things begin to happen. Big and small. Perhaps you will find that your computer is running faster than normal, you might find that you feel calmer than normal. These would be examples of interaction that we don’t notice. These shifts may well be Divine interaction. So, I encourage you to notice. What is happening? Emotionally, physically, mentally. Remember, the signs may be the absence of what we are used to. Perhaps anxiety or worry is gone.

What’s right for you? Are you open to taking a step? Just think about it, how does that feel? Opening your heart to even consider connection with Spirit is often the very first step, the most important step you can take.

Namaste,

Sandy

What do You Prefer?

Everything is coming up roses!

I believe that we live the life that we ask for. We ask with our thoughts, so be careful what you think.

It seems to me that more and more people are becoming aware, or being reawakened to what I believe is an absolute fact, the universe operates on the law of attraction. What does this law say? Very simply, that our thoughts are magnetic attractors which draw to us the life that we are living. Our thoughts form our beliefs and our beliefs become our reality.

Huh? If that’s your response, bear with me here and we’ll explore this a bit more. Have you ever been worried about something in your life and given yourself a headache? Who do you think created that headache? Have you had the experience of driving to an appointment telling yourself the entire time that ‘I just know I’m going to be late!’ and then arrived late? Why do you think that you lived out your thoughts, fate?¬¨‚Ć We’ve all heard about medical studies, group A is given a medication, group B is given a sugar pill or some sort of neutral ‘medication’, but still group B achieves some excellent response? Ah, yes, the placebo effect.

We’ve got excellent reasons for each of the results above, and we usually say things like ‘of course I’ve got a headache, I’m upset’ or ‘placebo effect means it’s not real, it’s all in your head’. Hmmm, it seems to me that if I believe that being upset results in a headache then doesn’t that mean that my mental or emotional state has brought about my current¬¨‚Ć physical reality? Let’s go further with the placebo effect, there are many research papers written verifying that the placebo effect, means that results are achieved. Love that! Follow this link for a very powerful article on the placebo effect. http://bit.ly/NR69

This is the premise that we begin with when we gather for the MasterMind groups. Here’s the skinny on how it all works. We gather in a group of no more than five (5) people so that there is time for each participant to share effectively. We spend a short time sharing what is going on in our lives and then we quickly move to sharing the way we would prefer our lives to unfold. Here’s where the power comes in…are you ready? We have already affirmed our belief that we can create our lives with our beliefs, we believe that when we combine our intentions, agreeing to see specific results for one another and asking our Higher Power to bring this about that we are amplifying the intention and bringing it faster, stronger and more clearly than if any of us were working individually. All of the participants in the group agree to see or visualize the life that each of the other participants prefers. In other words, if Herb asks me to see him driving an orange VW convertible, I take the time each day to ‘see’ him driving that orange VW convertible, knowing that his preferences are coming to him now.¬¨‚Ć We always acknowledge and appreciate with sincere gratitude the successes which have come about in each of our lives. We hold onto that knowledge and appreciation when holding our intentions for one another. It’s very powerful.

The upshot of all of this? We are now leading our lives much more intentionally. The awareness that we create our lives with our thoughts and beliefs is an eye-opening and very exciting experience. It encourages us to be mindful of our thoughts, the words we speak and the state of mind that we maintain. If I would like my life to be rosey in all aspects,  I simply intend that  everything I experience will be rosey.  Awesome!

This week I encourage you to get clear about how you would like your life to unfold. As for me, I intend and expect  that everything is coming up roses.

Namaste,

Prayer vs. Meditation

Monday, May 31st, 2010

A client recently asked me how I compared prayer to meditation. Hmmm, I hadn’t really taken the time to think about the difference, but this was clearly the right time to give it a bit of thought.

I’m a person of faith so I pray often. Generally when I pray, I simply have chats with God. These chats are my prayers. Although sometimes I use the traditional prayers that I’ve been taught, more often I simply share my thoughts with God. Of course this includes my worries and concerns, but it also includes my hopes, dreams and sincere thanks for all of the wonderful happenings in my life. In short, when I pray, I’m talking to God. I do this all through the day. When something good happens, when I’m nervous, when I find a nickel on the ground and when I nab the perfect parking spots. Sometimes long prayers, often quick thoughts, sort of on the go.

So, what happens when I’m meditating? Well, for me, meditating is the time when I try to quiet my mind and allow my heart and soul to hear what God is saying to me. How does this happen? I’m not sure, lol. My mind is seldom entirely quiet, more often than not meditation does allow it to slow down, at least a little bit. My thoughts generally become calmer and clearer. I’m a novice when it comes to meditation and I suspect that I always will be, I’m okay with that. I never know just what will happen. When listening to guided meditation, I am sometimes able to follow the guidance and visualize very clearly along with the message. Often I feel as though Reiki is flowing when I’m meditating, to myself and often to others in the room as well. I don’t know why this happens, but as I see meditation as time for my God to clearly communicate with me, if the Reiki energy begins to flow, I feel as though it is simply a message from my God that I should be offering Reiki more.

In short, I see my prayer as opportunity to speak to God. When I meditate I am taking the time to actively listen to what God has to say to me.

How about you, what are your thoughts regarding prayer and meditation? I’d love to hear.

Warmly,

Sandy

MasterMind Groups

Sunday, January 3rd, 2010

Laurie said, ‘When I first heard about the possibilities of the MasterMind group it just felt right so I had to check it out for myself. I was very intrigued to explore this concept of sharing a combined energy among all the participants with Spirit as a main component working on our behalf. After only 2 weeks I started seeing dramatic results. I am certain this is the result of attending the weekly MasterMind group and being able to discuss, set and share our goals and intentions together. I’m so glad that Sandy invited me to participate. So, if Sandy has invited YOU, I highly recommend that you listen up and give it a try!

Happy New Year!

In the past few months I have formed two MasterMind groups. Participants of these groups are experiencing real and profound changes in their lives. I’m really excited to see all of this progress, so I wanted to open up the opportunity to more people.

The idea behind these groups is really very simple. I believe very strongly in the law of attraction. You are undoubtedly aware of this simple and yet profound concept. That’s what ‘The Secret’ was all about, as are many other books, movies, etc. Basically, it is this; what we think about and put our attention on comes to exist in our life. That means that we are co-reating our lives along with the Supreme Being, moment by moment and that we have the ability to change our lives as well. This is the point of the MasterMind group. We gather together to learn about what we would like to change or bring about in our lives. You will learn to re-frame your thoughts and speech in a positive manner so that you are truly asking for positive change. For example, you may come to the gathering concerned about bills and debt. The discussion will not focus on these bills and debt, but will instead gently guide you to think about financial freedom. Subtle but very different. As a group we will hold intentions for these changes to take place in one anothers lives.

Each of us is very powerful and has the ability to bring about tremendous change in our lives. When we gather to co-create together along with our Creator, we exponentially increase the power of our minds, we are forming the MasterMind which is much more powerful and effective than any one of us alone.

I refer to Creator, Supreme Being, God, Universe, Spirit, etc. often during these gatherings. While no religion is suggested or required for these gatherings, I want to be clear that this is a very spiritual endeavor. You may of course be any religion or none at all to participate, all are welcome. But it is important to know and understand that these groups are intended to work hand in hand with our Maker.

These MasterMind groups are capped at four (4) participants, so that there is plenty of opportunity for each person to speak and be heard during each weekly two (2) hour gathering. I will be there as coach and facilitator during each gathering. After each meeting you will receive an email detailing the intentions which we will hold for one another during the upcoming week.

The requirements are very easy.
Sign-up for online materials, cost is $27. so that you have access to each weekly lesson at www.masterminding101.com
Meetings are held at my space every week
The most important requirement – an open mind and an open heart

The monthly fee for participation is $75. During this 12 week process you will receive unlimited coaching support via email.

I have three slots available for these groups. Monday afternoon 3-5, Tuesday afternoon 12-2 and Wednesday evening 6-8.

To register online visit http://www.sandywalden.com/workshops.php. Or call or drop me a line via email.

I look forward to taking this journey with you as you begin walking down this new path, creating your best life.

Namaste,
Sandy

Here’s a bit of feedback from David.

‘My wife is in the first MasterMind group that Sandy Walden started and says it’s the best group of gals she’s partnered with in a long time – if ever.¬¨‚Ć Pat says it’s good for her and praises it highly. And when Sandy said she wanted to start another group I was right there signing up.

At our second meeting the group agreed there might be a better way than chasing after business, and running around to networking groups, etc. We thought it would be desirable to have people come looking for us and our services. Less than 48 hours after we decided that and put that intention out there, I got three calls with new business; a call out of the blue, an opportunity to team up with someone that had been meaning to call me and an offer to do a second project with a fairly new client.

Amazing!’

The Shack

Monday, August 17th, 2009

I read a wonderful book the other day. It had been recommended and even loaned to me by one of my favorite life coaching clients. ‘The Shack’ by Wm. Paul Young spoke to me on many levels.

As a life coach I encourage clients to acknowledge and appreciate their faith, if they do indeed believe in a higher power. This book tells the true story of a man who lived through a brutal childhood. Later he married and had children, settling into a wonderful if somewhat ordinary life. God as he knew him was pretty unavailable and not someone he felt that he could count on. Tragically this man experienced a horror that is every parent’s nightmare. Sometime later, this man is invited up to a place referred simply as the shack. During his time at the shack his life changed forever.

I’m not going to tell you too much more because I do not believe I can do the story justice.

Reading this book helped me to deal with many questions. Maybe predictably, it prompted many more questions as well. Most of all it reminded me of the connection I feel with my God and reminded me that it doesn’t have to be all that complicated. It’s really pretty straight forward, a relationship of love and trust. Beginning, middle and end.

Why do I feel the need to share this with you? Because I think we all need something that we believe in and depend upon. For me this is my faith. Life coaching and Reiki have both helped me to become much clearer about my faith. Each has helped me to eliminate some of the junk that I always associated with faith. For me this process has been simple yet incredibly profound.

I encourage both life coaching and Reiki clients to take a bit of time each day to meditate. Time to simply be. When I do this it helps me to clear my mind and open my heart to ideas, thoughts and feelings. Sometimes these thoughts and feelings are new to me. Often they are old thoughts or emotions that I had sort of shelved in the past. Now when I give them a bit of time, they are more easily dealt with, as I simply ponder them from a detached point of view. I’m not consistent about meditating every day at a certain time or place, but I expect to get better about it with time. I know that it has served me well and I absolutely appreciate that fact.

For today I hope that you are able to take a few minutes to spend all by yourself in peace and quiet. Not thinking, just being. I hope that this will help you to find a bit of peace and guidance.

For a very good read which just may change your life, I strongly recommend reading ‘The Shack’. I know I’ll be buying several copies and keeping them on my lending bookshelf. This book is too important not to share, which is why I just shared with you.

Warmly,
Sandy
